Autumn News

This autumn marks an expansion of the Wik & Walsøe-universe. A warm glow radiates from the hand-decorated objects in the new porcelain series Alvespeil.

Shimmering details symbolizes a new elegance in interior design, and paves the way for interesting meetings between contrasting materials. This autumn acclaimed Norwegian design studio Wik & Walsøe launches two beautiful bowls, and a delicate animal figurine in two sizes. All products are hand-decorated with a lustre effect that imparts a beautiful sheen.

The word lustre originates from the Italian word lustro, meaning gloss or sheen. The porcelain is decorated by hand with a thin metal coating, ensuring that each object becomes unique.

The two bowls are made of bone china, and then decorated by hand, den smaller one on the inside of the bowl, the larger one on the outside. They make an elegant addition to the table in the company of the tableware-series Fnugg, Lys and Alveskog, but are also suitable as an interesting contrast til the series Whitewood or Woodstokk.

The figurines are produced in a limited edition. The resting deer compliments a number of Wik & Walsøe´s existing tableware series, and becomes an eye-catching detail on a table. The figurines are made of feldspar porcelain, and then decorated by hand, making each object one of a kind
